CCDS hosted a joint conference for Black Sea Women in Nuclear Leadership Group and U.S. -Black Sea Nonproliferation Professionals Exchange. The conference was held on May 10, at Hilton Garden Inn, Tbilisi. Attendees included nuclear, defense and security scholars, most of whom has participated in the abovementioned exchange initiatives.

The Civil Council on Defense and Security hosted a conference, “Peace and Security in the Context of New and Evolving Threats: Perspectives from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia”. 

Within the framework of the project Promoting Pluralism and Combating Stereotypes, second workshop was held for civil society representatives, in Marneuli, Kvemo kartli region. Participants were from local civil society organizations and NGOs, as well as local representatives of bigger nation-wide organizations.  

December 5, 2022, marked an opening of the project Promoting Pluralism and Combating Stereotypes, which will focus on three diverse regions of Georgia – Kvemo Kartli, Adjara and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Within the framework of the project, first workshop was held for media representatives, in Marneuli, Kvemo kartli region.

The 4^th Tbilisi International Forum for Regional Stability: Nuclear and Radiological Security in the Black Sea Region in Light of New and Evolving Threats and Circumstances was held on 8-9 November 2022 at the Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi Hotel.

On 22-24 August 2022, CCDS organized the 7th annual Batumi Summer University, which gathered around 40 scholars, experts, young professionals and university students who take interest in international relations, nuclear security and non-proliferation.  

A two-day youth forum was held as part of the project New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy at the National Museum of Georgia on 24-25 November.

The sixth Batumi Summer University kicked off at the Batumi State University (BSU) on 1 November. For six consecutive years, CCDS has been organizing summer university sessions in Batumi.

A regional forum - Ethnic minority youth in search of peace and equality - was organized by young activists participating in the CCDS project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” and representing two membership groups - “Ethnic Azerbaijanis” and “the Integration Centre of Azerbaijanis in Georgia”.
