The 4th Batumi Summer University was conducted in September 10 - 11, 2019 at the Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University (BSU). The event was organized by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and the BSU. The event was supported by Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM). Civil Council’s experts delivered presentations to BSU professors, PhD and master degree students, as well as to other listeners participated in the Summer University work.
During the two days sessions were presented: The textbook Nuclear Nonproliferation and Nuclear Safeguards; The Internet resource Nuclear and Radiation Nonproliferation Network” and the new research Preparedness and Response to Nuclear Disasters Outside Georgia. Besides, by the Civil Council’s experts were covered the following topics of international politics: ‘Skyful of Lies’ and Black Swans: International Security Challenges in Troubled Times; Hybrid Warfare and the Wider Black Sea Regional Challenges; The Influence of International Security Challenges on Iran-Georgia Relations.
