The 3nd Tbilisi International Forum for Regional Stability under the topic “Black Sea Region and the Global Nuclear Order” was conducted in October 4-5, 2018, Courtyard Marriott Tbilisi hotel. The forum was organized by its permanent host the Civil Council on Defense and Security. Among supporters of the forum were local Georgian and international partners: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, State Security Service of Georgia, Georgian Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety, Swedish Radiation and Safety Authority, Office of Weapons of Mass Distraction Terrorism of the US Department of State, UK Department of Energy and Climate Change.
In the forum participated officials, scholars and NGO representatives from Georgia and partner countries from Black Sea region, EU, US etc. The forum Covered the following questions: Global Nuclear Nonproliferation Challenges: Views from International and Regional Partners; Black Sea Countries’ Efforts to Implement Nonproliferation Objectives Breakout Group Discussions; Emerging CBRN Terrorism Threats and Responses Global Challenge of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, or Nuclear (CBRN) Terrorism and the Black Sea region; CBRN risk mitigation: addressing grey zones in the Black Sea region.
