The seminar “Nuclear Security and Non-Proliferation Education Network in Georgia” was conducted in February 11, 2019 at the Marriott Tbilisi Hotel. The seminar was organized by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and was supported by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM). In the seminar participated professors of leading universities of Georgia.
At the seminar was introduced Georgian translation of the textbook “An Introduction to Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Safeguards”; Report on National System of Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Response in Georgia; and the online Geiger Muller Counter Network for background radiation monitoring. All these products could be used by various universities for their teaching and research programs.
