The 3rd Batumi Summer University was conducted in September 12-13, 2018, at the Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University (BSU). The event was organized by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and the BSU. The event was supported by Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM). Professors of the University, as well as Civil Council experts delivered presentations to university master degree and PhD students, as well as to other listeners participated in the University work.
During the two days work were covered the following themes: Security policy of the EU; Threat of the Nuclear Terrorism; International reaction on North Korea nuclear program; Georgian-Iran economic relations and sanctions policy; US Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Program; Strategic Trade Control system; Democratic oversight over the security sector etc.
