The 4th Tbilisi International Forum for Regional Stability: Nuclear and Radiological Security in the Black Sea Region in Light of New and Evolving Threats and Circumstances was held on 8-9 November 2022 at the Courtyard by Marriott Tbilisi Hotel.
The Tbilisi International Forum for Regional Stability is the first international initiative on nuclear security and WMD nonproliferation established and based in Tbilisi, Georgia. The aim of the Forum is to bring together various actors (state, civil society, academia, etc.) to discuss a common nuclear security agenda for the wider Black Sea region through the lenses of global and regional trends and developments, seek to overcome existing nonproliferation challenges and create new opportunities for peace and cooperation.
The topics of the 4th Tbilisi International Forum for Regional Stability included: The nuclear non-proliferation regime in turbulent times - the views of regional and international partners in the context of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine; efforts by Black Sea countries to implement radiation and nuclear security objectives; illicit trafficking in a changed geopolitical reality; cooperation and exchange among professionals in the field of nuclear security and nonproliferation; emerging CBRN threats and responses.
