The kick- off meeting of the ”GUAM Countries’ Radioactive Waste Management Conference” was conducted March 4, 2019 at Courtyard Marriott Tbilisi Hotel. The seminar was facilitated by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and was supported by Georgian Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM). In the meeting participated official representatives of the regulatory of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova and Sweden. During the meeting was discussed establishing ToR for GUAM countries’ regional workshop series and the details of the first such a workshop which is intended to conduct in Tbilisi, Georgia in October 2019.
