The sixth Batumi Summer University kicked off at the Batumi State University (BSU) on 1 November. For six consecutive years, CCDS has been organizing summer university sessions in Batumi.

On 29 October, participants of the project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” launched a new mini-project - Meskhetian stories.

A regional forum - Ethnic minority youth in search of peace and equality - was organized by young activists participating in the CCDS project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” and representing two membership groups - “Ethnic Azerbaijanis” and “the Integration Centre of Azerbaijanis in Georgia”.

An information campaign - Share Responsibility - kicked off in Lentekhi, a mountainous district of Georgia, as part of the CCDS project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” which aims to promote engagement of youth and women in local government initiatives.

As part of a series of lectures aimed at raising awareness of Georgian journalists on nuclear nonproliferation issues, the military journalist Irakli Aladashvili delivered a lecture for a group of reporters on current challenges to nuclear nonproliferation.

As part of a project designed for Georgian journalists, a lecture on the institutional framework of nuclear and radiation security in Georgia was conducted for a selected group of journalists on 7 October.

A project which aims to give voice and visibility to ethnic minority women started in Telavi on 20 September.

A research paper on proton therapy has been published with support from CCDS, the Georgian National Academy of Science and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority.

On 29 September, participants of the CCDS project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” broadcast a radio programme at th contribution of religious diversity e Radio Dzveli Kalaki as part of their mini-project “Religious diversity in Kutaisi”.

 CCDS board member Shorena Lortkipanidze highlighted the necessity of forming a coalition government in Georgia on Euronews Georgia.

As part of its project designed to raise awareness of Georgian journalists about nonproliferation issues, CCDS arranged a lecture on export controls of dual-use goods for a selected group of journalists on 28 September.

Participants of the CCDS project New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy launched a radio programme on the Kutaisi-based radio station - Dzveli Kalaki.

A training course on youth engagement in self-governance was organized by young activists participating in the CCDS project Youth for Pluralism and Democracy in Kutaisi on 24 September.

Professors Giorgi Japaridze and Lia Tchelidze of the Institute of Physics gave a lecture on nuclear energy, nuclear power plants and their impact on the world for a selected group of journalists on 22 September.

Participants of the CCDS project New Generation for Diversity and Pluralism met representatives of municipal women’s rooms via Zoom on 21 September.

A lecture on nuclear non-proliferation and international security was conducted on 20 September for a selected group of journalists by Tamar Pataraia of CCDS.

On 8 September, Dr. Philipp Fluri, an expert in International politics and security, delivered a lecture on ‘Democratization and transformation of the security sector in Eastern Europe’ for a group of young activists participating in the CCDS project Youth for Pluralism and Democracy.

Tamar Khidasheli, an expert in human rights, gender and democratization issues, gave an online lecture for a group of young activists on 6 September.

The former chief of staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze delivered a lecture on Nato for participants of the CCDS project Youth for Pluralism and Democracy on 2 September.
