On 29 September, participants of the CCDS project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” broadcast a radio programme at th contribution of religious diversity e Radio Dzveli Kalaki as part of their mini-project “Religious diversity in Kutaisi”.
The project aimed to explore religious diversity in the Imereti Region, with a particular focus on Kutaisi. Two 30-minute radio programmes were prepared in which local historians and researchers explored the contribution of religious diversity to Kutaisi’s rich and versatile history.
The first programme was dedicated to interviews with locals about the famous Georgian Jews in Kutaisi and their role in the city’s development whereas the second programme focused on the catholic community in Kutaisi.
This mini-project was carried out in the framework of the project New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy, which is implemented by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and Max Planck Foundation, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
