Participants of the CCDS project New Generation for Diversity and Pluralism met representatives of municipal women’s rooms via Zoom on 21 September.
Representatives of the Telavi and Khulo women’s rooms presented a short history of these institutions in Georgia and spoke about their work. Projects undertaken by the women’s rooms in Georgia to empower women and ensure their equitable engagement in the political and economic processes in their respective municipalities have been discussed. Finally, the importance of young women getting involved in the work of these institutions was underlined.
The meeting was held in the framework of the project New Generation for Diversity and Pluralism implemented by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and Max Planck Foundation with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
