CCDS has translated an article on the possible effects of a nuclear war. The article “Nowhere To Hide: How a nuclear war would kill you - and almost everyone else” by Francois Diaz-Maurin was published in the Bulletin of the Nuclear Scientists on 20 October 2022.

The book “Everything You Need to Know about Radiation and Radioactivity” aims to help readers understand the role of radiation in the creation of the world, the evolution of humankind, and science and technological progress.

A research paper on proton therapy has been published with support from CCDS, the Georgian National Academy of Science and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority.

As from September 2019 Civil Council on Defense and Security is conducting a Project “Diversity, Inclusion and Gender Equality in Defense and Security Institutions”. During this past two years there where different activities fulfilled within the framework of the project, such as meetings, trainings and workshops with the employees of the Ministries of defense and Internal Affairs. 

The author of the presented lectures is Dr. Thomas Jonter, Professor at Stockholm University (Sweden). 

A research paper: Rethinking nuclear and radiation risks in the wake of the Fukusima nuclear accident, was published by the Civil Council on Defence and Security, with support of Georgian National Academy of Science and Swedish Radiation Safety Authority. Authors include members of the Commission of Nuclear Energy and  Radiation Security - Giorgi Japharidze, LIa Tchelidze and Revaz Shanidze, as well as Civil Council board members and experts - Irakli Mtchedlishvili, Tamar Pataraia and Shorena Lortkiphanidze. 

The Georgian translation of the book “An Introduction to Nuclear - Non-Proliferation and Safeguards” by Ane Håkansson and Thomas Jonter was published.

The study Preparedness and Response to Nuclear Disasters Outside Georgia was conducted and publshed by the Civil Council on Defense and Security. 

The booklet “Strategic Trade Control - Guidelines for Enterprises Involved in Trade in Strategic Goods” was published in Georgian and English languages.
