As from September 2019 Civil Council on Defense and Security is conducting a Project “Diversity, Inclusion and Gender Equality in Defense and Security Institutions”. During this past two years there where different activities fulfilled in the framework of the project, such as meetings, trainings and workshops with the employees of the Ministries of defense and Internal Affairs. That was followed by small projects from the young people of different regions of Georgia, who made researches, wrote articles and recorded interviews to show the diversity and inclusion in Georgia’s society.
But as all of this was an illustration of today’s reality, the Civil Council team wanted to show how precious and important were all these values(diversity, inclusion, equality) during past centuries and that Georgia was always part of the developed cultures. That’s how it all got into Aka Morchiladze’s hands and we received an exclusive piece of writing: Non-scientific notes about past times. The Civil Council wants to express its gratitude towards one of the brightest modern Georgian writers – Aka Morchiladze, for giving us that opportunity to get into Georgia’s fabulous past and see the fundaments of diverse and equal society in well-known and forgotten or never heard stories of kings and queens, knights and warriors, defense and peace.
