An information campaign - Share Responsibility - kicked off in Lentekhi, a mountainous district of Georgia, as part of the CCDS project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” which aims to promote engagement of youth and women in local government initiatives.

The author of this mini-project, Ana Bendeliani, met locals in the town of Lentekhi and two largest villages of the municipality. Information brochures on the importance of participation of women and young people in public life and governance were distributed during the meetings. A short video clip to be disseminated later is also being prepared.

The goal of the campaign is to encourage locals to become more active citizens and - through this - contribute to the strengthening of the Open Government Principle (OGP).

The project “New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy” is implemented by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and Max Planck Foundation with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
