The present policy report examines the current state of affairs within the export control system of dual use goods in Georgia. The paper explores progress achieved recently, identifies challenges, and proposes concrete steps to address existing gaps in order to strengthen the system through making it more transparent, accountable, and responsive to international security needs. The report acknowledges that the efficient functioning of the export control system requires active dialogue and cooperation between business and government circles, and mutual agreement of the high importance of the public-private partnership.

The CCDS research is supported by the US Department of State, the US Department of Energy (Argonne Lab), the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), and the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority.
