Participants of the CCDS project New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy launched a radio programme on the Kutaisi-based radio station - Dzveli Kalaki.

The first guest of the programme, Ms Shorena Lortkipanidze of the Civil Council on Defense and Security, overviewed the project, underlining its importance for the young generation’s engagement in civic activism.

Other guests included Prof Vakhushti Menabde, Prof Lela Gaprindashvili, General Vakhtang Kapanadze et al. The speakers shared their professional stands and personal views about democracy and diversity, young people’s role in promoting pluralism, democracy and other values underpinning modern democratic societies, etc.

The radio programme was prepared and broadcast as part of the project New Generation for Pluralism and Democracy, which is implemented by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and Max Planck Foundation, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
