Within the framework of the project Promoting Pluralism and Combating Stereotypes, second workshop was held for civil society representatives, in Marneuli, Kvemo kartli region. Participants were from local civil society organizations and NGOs, as well as local representatives of bigger nation-wide organizations.  

Workshop sessions were led by our experts – Rusudan Gotsiridze, Nana Berekashvili and Shorena Lortkipanidze. And there were also guest speakers from the partner Max Planck Foundation:  Managing director – Dr. Kathrin Maria Scherr and research fellow – Mr. Aymen Briki. In the first part of the training, a short introduction exercise was organized, followed by a group discussion on identity and relevance of identity issues to the civil integration. As of the second part, along with the importance of equality and justice, diversity and inclusion related topics were intensively discussed and participants presented their small group works about civic engagement in promoting pluralism and diversity.

The workshop aimed to create a space for reflection and understanding among project participants on diversity, tolerance, inclusion and pluralism; and to encourage participants to become critical thinkers and agents of democratic changes and promoters of pluralistic society.
