On 31 July and 1 August, CCDS hosted a series of workshops as part of the project "Promoting Pluralism and Media Freedom" in Batumi. Workshop sessions led by Georgian experts were attended by civil activists, local media and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

The workshops served as a platform for fostering inclusivity, promoting dialogue and cooperation and encouraging the acceptance and celebration of pluralism. Participants engaged in discussions on recognizing and appreciating the uniqueness of various cultural, religious, and social identities.

The training module included exercises and group discussions on the issues of identity its relevance to civil integration. At the sessions which focused on the importance of equality & justice and diversity & inclusion, participants presented their small group projects on civic engagement for promoting pluralism and diversity.

The workshop made an effort to dismantle the stereotypes that perpetuate discrimination and prejudice. Participants engaged in open dialogue to understand the root causes of stereotypes and their impact on marginalized communities.

The workshop "Promoting Pluralism and Media Freedom” was held as part of the project which CCDS is implementing in partnership with the Max Plank Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
