CCDS took part in the recent INMM/ESARDA meeting held on 22-26 May in Vienna, Austria. The conference brought together experts and stakeholders from the nuclear industry to address critical issues surrounding nuclear security and promote diversity and inclusion in the sector.

The INMM/ESARDA meeting aimed to address two crucial aspects: strengthening nuclear security measures and fostering diversity and inclusion within the nuclear industry.

The panel dedicated to inclusion in nuclear security provided a platform to address the existing gender disparities and challenges faced by women in the nuclear industry. Shorena Lortkipanidze of CCDS participated in the discussion, sharing her experience in advocating for the active involvement of women in decision processes and leadership roles.

The A/CPPNM (Amended Convention for the Physical Convention of Nuclear Materials) panel focused on the future of the Amended Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material, a crucial instrument aimed at strengthening the global regime for nuclear security.
