The web-site Diversity and Inclusion in Defense and security Institutions of Georgia was designed by the Civil Council on Defense and Security (CCDS) and launched in 7.04.2020. The development of the site was made possible thanks to the support of the Netherlands embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia
The site was created to promote ethnic and religious diversity and women’s equal participation in Georgian society through supporting rights and freedoms of minorities serving in Georgia’s security and defense institutions. Particularly: to facilitate an informed discourse on issues related to the status of minorities and women in the security and defense institutions; to promote public policies that focus on increasing equal opportunities for women and representatives of ethnic and religious minorities in the defense (armed forces) and security (police) institutions; Contribute to the changes of societal norms regarding gender relations and the presence of ethnic and religious minorities in the security and armed forces.
