Training on Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunities in Defense and Security Institutions was conducted on October 19, Via Zoom platform. Training was held in close cooperation with Batumi State University and attendees included students, academic staff and different NGO members interested in defense and security issues.
Discussed topics included diversity and its importance in our lives, related strategies and researches, as well as gender studies and inclusion. General view of military and police officers and real-life stories/experiences connected to their work were also mentioned. Furthermore advocacy projects, as an important part of practical tools for maintaining diversity, was also discussed in a separate session of the training.
The training took place as a part of the project Diversity and Inclusion in Defense and Security Institutions, organized by the Civil Council on Defense and Security and was supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Georgia. For further details please check the attachments.
