The Report on Channels of Cooperation Between the Defense Sector and Media was prepared by the Civil Council on Defense and security. The report presents an analysis and evaluation of the current forms and means of interaction and communication between the Ministry of Defense of Georgia (MoD) and media. It intends to help improve efficiency of MoD policies and strengthen public confidence in the defense sector. The research also looks into the ability of modern Georgia media institutions to professionally and timely inform the public about the ongoing defense and security sector reforms and the country’s general defense capabilities. The research was carried out by George Tkhvitava, an analyst of the Georgian Public Broadcaster, with input from five journalists who work for various media outlets and have extensive experience of reporting on defense and security issues.
