CCDS boar member, Shorena Lortkipanidze took place in the first regional BSWN Conference, titled "Empowering Women in Nuclear: We All Can Do It", on November 5–6, 2024, at Ovidius University of Constanta. This event brought together experts, academics, and young professionals from the nuclear field to address key challenges and explore collaborative opportunities. 
The conference provided a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and building partnerships among participants from diverse backgrounds. By fostering collaboration and promoting the exchange of ideas, the ‘We All Can Do It’ Conference aimed to contribute to the advancement of the nuclear field and the empowerment of women in the sector.
Gender inequality remains a pervasive issue globally, despite significant progress in recent decades and nuclear field is not an exclusion. The event featured a series of panel discussions, keynote speeches, and interactive sessions, covering topics such as: Preparing the next generation of nuclear professionals, addressing challenges and opportunities for women in the nuclear sector, enhancing safety measures and addressing security concerns, exploring the latest advancements in nuclear technology, Improving public understanding of nuclear energy and addressing misconceptions ande ncouraging young people to pursue careers in nuclear science and engineering.
The conference was supported by the National Nuclear Administration of the USA and the Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey, James Martin Center for Nonproliferation.
