The Civil Council on Defense and Security (CCDS), in partnership with the Max Planck Foundation, implemented a workshop on July 17, 2024, in Batumi, Georgia, as part of the project "Empowering Voices for Inclusive Peace and Security." The meeting brought together some 30 participants: representatives of Batumi State University (BSU), Students, Civil Society members and Journalists. This workshop aimed to deepen the understanding of the concept of Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP) among Georgian facilitators through discussions and interactive sessions.
The workshop covered both conceptual and practical aspects of FFP, including gender and diplomacy, conflict transformation, and a Georgian case analysis through the lens of FFP. The event featured interactive sessions designed to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of these subjects, concluding with a wrap-up session to consolidate the learnings.
The project "Empowering Voices for Inclusive Peace and Security" is implemented as part of the program "Expanding Cooperation with Civil Society in Eastern Partnership Countries and Russia," generously funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
