The concluding conference, “Empowering Voices for Inclusive Peace and Security,” was held on 2-3 December 2024 in Tbilisi. During this 2-day event, project participants from across Georgia shared their reflections on the country’s current situation regarding inclusive peace and security and explored future perspectives. The exhibition “Through Her Gaze: The Silent Revolution of Georgian Women Artists” was opened as part of the conference.
The project comprised several workshops and activities designed to support and strengthen novel perspectives on peace and security in Georgia, grounded in the values and principles of Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP). As a result of the activities conducted between May and November 2024, knowledge and awareness of the concept of FFP were significantly increased among representatives of civil society, academia, and members of local municipalities in Georgia. Representatives of Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University and Batumi State University actively supported and facilitated discussion forums on the topic, helping to contextualize the concept within Georgia’s reality.
In the framework of this project, three meetings were successfully implemented in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi.
Ongoing project “Empowering Voices for Inclusive Peace and Security” is implemented through a collaboration between the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and Rule of Law and the Civil Council on Defense and Security (CCDS) and is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office in the framework of the "Eastern Partnership Programme".
