The 9th Batumi Summer University, which took place from 20-24 August at the Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University (BSU), brought together academics and experts from Georgia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. This event featured a four-day training course focused on international security and global nuclear non-proliferation.
The Summer University was organized within the framework of the project "Nuclear Non-proliferation Education and Research Capacity Building in Georgia," implemented by CCDS in partnership with Batumi State University. CCDS had been cooperating with the university since 2015.
The 9th Summer University was made possible thanks to the support of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) and the Regional EXBS Programme of the US Embassy in Tbilisi.
